What is the Great British Insulation Scheme?
The GBIS, formerly known as ECO+, is a government energy efficiency scheme administered by Ofgem. It aims to target the least energy-efficient homes in Great Britain, tackling fuel poverty and reducing energy bills. Unlike the Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) scheme, which offers a 'whole house' approach, GBIS focuses on delivering single insulation measures.

The Great British Insulation Scheme has two eligibility routes to make it accessible for different types of homeowners and renters.
Route 1: Benefits-Based Eligibility
