For Property Landlords
Get Your Rental From EPC D, E, F or G to EPC C, At Minimal Cost
The UK government has confirmed it intends to raise the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES) for the Private Rented Sector from EPC E to EPC C by 1 October 2030. New lets will need to comply earlier, with a statutory instrument targeted for 2027. Properties below the new standard cannot legally be let unless an exemption is registered.
ExpertHousing helps landlords meet the new standard before the deadline, using government-funded schemes (ECO4, BUS) to cover most or all of the upgrade cost. We handle the survey, the design, the funding application, and the installation as a single end-to-end service.
- Free EPC assessment, we visit, model the property, and produce an upgrade plan that lands you at band C or above
- Funded measures, loft & cavity-wall insulation, boiler upgrades, heat pumps and solar covered by ECO4 / BUS where eligible
- Tenant-friendly delivery, coordinated around your tenant's schedule; most measures complete in 1–3 days
- £7,500–£9,000 BUS grant if a heat pump is part of the plan (£9,000 for oil/LPG-heated rentals from 21 July 2026)
- £10,000 spend cap, if your property still doesn't reach EPC C after £10k of works, you can register a 10-year exemption
